I love how beautiful this pattern is. I’ve seen some gorgeous versions of both the dress and top, and today I’m sharing one I sewed up for Maya.
The Lillian Pintucked Dress and Top pattern runs from 3mo to size 12, and I love that I’ll be able to make it for my girls as they continue to grow. I was able to test the pattern, so I can tell you first-hand how much effort went into making sure this pattern was amazing. And it really is.
I think my favorite parts of this pattern are the pintucks (obviously), the straight sleeve, and that it’s easy to get on and off a baby. It’s breezy and beautiful. And completely classy. Next time I’ll make it a little longer since she’s about out of this size and I like it a little longer but overall I love this top on her. The Lillian Pintucked Dress and Top is one of those classic patterns that would look good on a girl at any age. Heck, I’d wear it!
And I forgot how hard it is to photograph kids once they’ve discovered they’re mobile. Maya would have nothing to do with sitting still, she just wanted to explore everything and interact with her sisters. But at least I caught a couple of good ones in between wiggles.

What a fabulous dress! The pintucks are such a sweet detail.
Thank you, Louisa. It's a beautiful pattern for sure.
Perfect in that fabric.
Is there a trim at the bottom or is that the hem?
Thank you Olu. The bottom is actually just serged. I think a lace trim would be perfect on top of the serging though--I'm totally going to do that now; thanks!
I love her sweet, sweet top! Beautiful choice of color and fabric. I'm curious if there is a button closure at the back, and how many buttons if there are?
Julie
Thank you Julie, what a sweet comment. There is a tie closure at the back, but no buttons. She was being too wiggly to get a good back shot--sorry!
