Medallion Christmas Wreath

Are you looking for a last-minute way to decorate a wreath? With just a couple sheets of patterned paper, you can quickly and easily transform a plain wreath into something whimsical, fun, and unique with this tutorial I did for PinkWhen a few weeks ago.

I’ve been in a medallion mood lately. I love how simple they are to create and the texture they give to whatever you put them next to. So I thought it would be a fun pairing to put medallions in a pine wreath. I’m Lisa Mabey from Mabey She Made It, and it’s time to get the house decorated for Christmas!

Medallion Christmas Wreath Supplies

Instructions

  1. Cut your scrapbook paper into strips. For the larger medallions, cut the strips 12″ x 1.5″ and for the smaller medallions, the strips are 12″ x 1″.
  2. Score and accordion fold your strips every 1/2″ (see below).
  3. Glue the ends of the strip together to create a circle. Push the top edges of the circle in towards the center and the bottom edges outward until the circle flattens out.
  4. Punch two circles from a coordinating paper using the 1/2″ Circle punch, and glue them to the front and back of your medallion.
  5. Repeat as many times as you want to cover your wreath. Hot glue the medallions to the wreath.
  6. Tie ribbon bows between the medallions as desired.
  7. Finish with a large bow at the bottom, and hang it up!
