Get ready for the Fourth of July with a quick and simple stars and stripes twisted headband! I got to guest post over at Over the Big Moon a few weeks ago, and now I’m sharing it with you here. These are fast enough to make a bunch for the Fourth!
So I’m putting my stars and stripes in a neutral gray with a pop of semi-traditional colors. I’ve been making lots of these twisted headbands lately, so I thought I’d show you how to make one of your own. They’re simple to make, even if you don’t sew often. And they’re great for those days when your flyaways are driving you crazy and your messy bun needs a LITTLE dressing up. (Please tell me I’m not alone here.) Let’s get started!

How adorable! I just had Total Knee Replacement this past week. This is a cute project I can make with my girls while I am off work recovering.
Ouch! I hope you're healing quickly. And yes, this would be a great project during recovery. :)
Love the stars and stripes in gray! I've got a Craft Gossip post scheduled for tomorrow that links to your tutorial:

Thanks! The gray is just a little unexpected, which I like. You're the best!
i am a non sewing person. I am wondering if I could make this with hand sewing. My friend's little 2 year old has cancer and is losing her hair with chemo. This might be nice for her and even warmish as the fall comes on. I don't know how long it will take for her hair to come back in. Right now she is having a 3rd round of treatment because the 2 earlier ones didn't work. So I am guessing this is going to be one long journey. thanks
