Ooh, I love fall and autumn decorating. I made this banner last year for the Core’dinations blog, and now I’m sharing the tutorial here. It’s one of my favorites this year, and I can’t wait to decorate my new space with this autumn banner.

It’s time for falling leaves, pumpkin everything, and sweaters. It’s AUTUMN! And to celebrate the beginning of my favorite season, I created this awesome bunting using the White Chalkboard card stock from Core’dinations, which I am loving.

Autumn Bunting Supplies:

Step 1: Cut your Chalk Core card stock into six 4″ x 6″ pieces. Then cut a notch out of the bottom of each piece.

Step 2: Lightly sand the surface of each piece for a scratched appearance and more heavily sand the edges.Create this striking autumn banner with a chalkboard finish and simple charm. Tutorial by Mabey She Made It

Step 3: Stamp the letters to spell “Autumn” on each of the card stock pieces using VersaMark ink, and emboss using an Ivory embossing powder.Create this striking autumn banner with a chalkboard finish and simple charm. Tutorial by Mabey She Made It

Step 4: Punch holes in the upper corners of all the card stock pieces. Also punch a hole in the center of six leaves.

Step 5: Glue a length of burlap ribbon to the back of each card stock piece using Zip Dry, and let dry. Autumn Bunting by Mabey She Made It

Step 6: Add your card stock pennants to about 6′ of Ivory suede cord. Create this striking autumn banner with a chalkboard finish and simple charm. Tutorial by Mabey She Made It

Now just hang it up and enjoy!

Aww, thank you. When you have a fun last name you have to use it, right?

I'd love to hear your thoughts–leave me a comment!
