It’s been a busy week! Kids’ Clothes Week ended last night, and I have had so much fun sewing for my girls. The finished tally is 2 skirts, 3 shirts, 3 dresses, another dress that’s 3/4 finished, and I tested a pattern for me. That’s a lot of sewing.
So here’s a recap of all the cuteness (starting with a couple of shirts I haven’t shown yet).
You’ve probably seen the Bimaa Sweater around a lot lately, and it’s because it’s totally adorable. I loved it when I first saw the pattern made up, but once I put it on Saige, I was totally smitten. A shirt doesn’t get much cuter than this. I even learned how to match stripes…
The cowl neck is divine. It hangs nicely, it’s roomy enough to not annoy little necks, and it’s super comfy (although that may also be attributed to the fabulous buttery soft knit from Girl Charlee).
The fit is beautiful. It’s slim through the body, has a cute band at the bottom, cuffs at the sleeve, and it’s just stinkin’ cute.
I seriously want to make about 5 more of these. But not this week.
Okay, enough about the Bimaa. I made another Vintage V-neck tee–this one has an elastic banded bottom and is 3/4 sleeves, but I couldn’t get Saige to try on anything else.
Then there were the Evelyn Dress,
the Mini Maxis,
and the Tuilieres Dress. (Get the pattern here!)
I can’t wait for next time!
I'd love to hear your thoughts–leave me a comment!
