Here’s a fun idea I shared last year for seasonal chalkboard blocks that you can switch up for any reason. And aside from drying time, I think they probably took about 20 minutes to make. So read on, and get ready to use these blocks all year round!
The idea of seasonal blocks isn’t a new one–they’ve been around for a LONG time. But it’s time they got an update–something modern and classic with twist that makes them endlessly useful. I’m talking about chalkboard blocks.
Can you imagine how many uses you can find for these? Use them for every holiday, for back to school, for your kids’ rooms, to teach your kids to read–seriously the list is endless.
And they’re so simple to make you’ll have them done lickety-split.
Supplies:
- Blocks
- Gold spray paint
- Chalkboard vinyl
- Chalk
- Paper cutter
Instructions for Chalkboard Blocks:
- Spray your blocks on all six sides, turning as they dry.
- Cut your chalkboard vinyl into squares using your paper cutter. My blocks are 3″ so I cut my vinyl 2-1/2″ square. Cut six for each block.
- Adhere your vinyl to each side of the blocks.
- Season the vinyl with a piece of chalk.
Ta Da!
