Sometimes you run across a pattern that you just love for the cuteness factor–the Shortie pajamas are that for me. The Shortie Nightgown & Bloomers pattern is a first for Chelsea at Get Your Crap Together, and she’s done a fabulous job designing this pajama set. And the best part is that she’s releasing the pattern today, so it’s available over on her site. You may even see Brynley over there along with some of the other testers.
I love the feel of the top. It’s loose and comfortable without losing style. And it doesn’t require any buttons, snaps, or zippers–it just slips over her head thanks to the split yoke in the back. And then there’s the bloomers. Um, I love how cute baby legs look in bloomers. And even though she’s not a baby anymore, it’s still fun to see her chubby knees just below the bottom of the shorts. Next time I think I’d make the elastic a little more snug on her legs so you’d see a little more poof, but I measured her legs with pants on… silly me.
Who knew pajamas could be so much fun? As I got each piece done, I had Brynley come try them on, and it was fun to see her expression as she admired her new clothes. Saige gets most of the new clothes around here, so it was a novelty for her to get to take photos and big a big girl like Saige.
I sewed these up last week during Kid’s Clothes Week, but since the pattern releases today, I had to wait to share them.
There’s just one problem–I want to let her wear them all the time as clothes! 🙂 But I guess the lack of warm temperatures will stop me for now. If you love the shortie pajamas, head over to Get Your Crap Together!
